Our Story
From a basement
to a real workshop
YarnLee was founded in 2010 by Erzsébet Varga and Gábor Horváth — two tailors who had worked together for years in various Budapest workshops and decided to forge their own path.
The first workshop started in a basement in the 11th district with three sewing machines and boundless enthusiasm. Today we work in a modern, light-filled studio in the Budapest ONE Business Park, where twelve experienced tailors and two designers form our core team.
Over the years we have fulfilled numerous bespoke orders, seasonal collections, and B2B commissions — but our approach has never changed: every piece is checked by hand, every client receives individual attention.
Milestones
The journey
that brought us here
Founded
YarnLee is established, the first three sewing machines are purchased, and the first client partnerships begin.
First collection
We present our first independent YarnLee seasonal collection, which gains recognition in the local fashion trade.
New workshop
We move into our current, larger studio. Modern industrial machines are installed and the team expands to six.
B2B programme
Our B2B programme for businesses and hotels launches — bespoke uniforms and custom collections.
Today
A twelve-person team, 3,200+ completed pieces, 47 domestic material partners, and continuous growth.

In every commission we treat our clients as partners — we listen to their needs, help with decisions, and guide them through the entire process with transparent communication.
